Explore oil painting with a focus on Winter Landscapes. Suitable for beginners and more experienced artists.

Come and join this introductory session and discover oil painting. We will be inspired by how different painters have depicted the beauty and delicacy of winter landscapes and explore colour mixing. The basic techniques of oil painting will be explained, so if you have never tried oil painting before, this is the class for you! We will look at using a base colour and how to apply paint with both brushes and palette knives. In the afternoon, there will be a chance to paint your own composition.

This will be a fun and friendly class with all materials and tuition provided. There will be hot and cold drinks available to buy from the bar but you will need to bring your own lunch.

Suitable to people who are complete beginners as well as those who have some experience of painting.
